Sunlight streams into the lobby, which opens onto the cafe, signature restaurant and dining plaza. The lobby’s glass walls visually bring The Plaza’s landscape and art garden into the building. Restaurant seating spills outdoors to create a vibrant urban plaza along Capitol Mall. At night, the lobby emits an inviting glow from within. User-friendly technology integrated into the lobby includes a touch screen directory and connection to Plaza Five Fifty Five’s Wi-Fi, wireless Internet network. Rotating art exhibits mounted in lobby feature local artists and complement the outdoor sculpture garden.

PARKING. Ample reserved parking in generously sized spaces is available in a detached structure connected to the office building. Plaza Five Fifty Five’s comprehensive Wi-Fi network extends into parking structure.

OFF STREET ACCESS. Since parking is not permitted on Capitol Mall, a mid-block service street dubbed Triple Nickel Lane provides off-street access for easy drop-off for visitors and service vehicles. Triple Nickel Lane connects The Plaza to its parking structure.

CONCIERGE. Whether a business needs a quick hotel reservation for a visiting client, tickets to a game at Arco Arena or Raley Field, restaurant reservations, or discount tickets to the Sacramento Zoo, The Plaza’s Concierge service delivers.

SECURITY. A doorkeeper is on duty 24 hours a day, adding to Plaza Five Fifty Five’s enhanced security measures.

VIDEO CONFERENCE ROOM. All tenants at Plaza Five Fifty Five can avail themselves of a video conference room located on the building’s second floor. CLIMATE CONTROL. The HVAC system installed in 2002 implements the most modern technology to reduce operating costs and improve energy efficiency at Plaza Five Fifty Five. Two 740-ton 19XRV Evergreen centrifugal chillers with variable frequency drives reduce power consumption and enable building administrators to match the cooling to the building’s load precisely. The cooling system uses an environmentally responsible refrigerant that is chlorine-free and does not deplete the ozone. Climate conditions are automatically adapted to keep offices comfortable for tenants who burn the midnight oil. Plaza Five Fifty Five’s state-of-the-art life/safety systems received the Carrier Regional Environmental Leadership Award in 2003. The Award lauded Plaza Five Fifty Five as “a great example of green building design.”

ELEVATORS. Plaza Five Fifty Five is served by seven modern elevators that respond to up to 5,000 calls a day, answering 98% of those calls within 15 seconds.
